Good Afternoon!
While inside this morning, our friends worked with twirlers and sand paper blocks. We made our own music while listening to recorded music. Some of the kids chose to dance around while others chose to sit and make music. Marina twirled the green streamer around in different directions. Chloe liked standing up and banging her sand paper blocks together. She also liked the quiet sound that the sand paper made when you rubbed the blocks together.
While our friends were dancing and making music, a few friends decided to get the pegs out and build different structures. Jada and Ozzie liked to stack them as high as they could while Lea liked putting the pegs into the different foam animals that were available. Children were using their fine motor skills to make sure that the pegs were put into the foam correctly.
Children ventured into the kitchen where they found the different colored shapes that they played with in the light table. Ellie used little orange cups to fill with the shapes and then dump. She liked the sound the tiles made when they hit the light table.
Chloe and Ozzie started an art project using markers and white paper. They shared the paper and markers. They both worked great together and were helpful to one another. P.K. liked taking the markers out one at a time and putting them back. He made sure the markers snapped into place!
All of our friends headed outside. Once the wind picked up, the coats had to be put on because our friends were getting a little chilly! A few friends chose to work in the sand box while others decided to ride the bikes and cars around on the cement.
For breakfast this morning, our friends enjoyed chex with milk and apples. Our late afternoon snack to hold us over until lunch was beans and snap peas. Lunch consisted of whole wheat english muffins with turkey and shredded cheese, bananas, and green salad with a Strawberry and Balsamic dressing. PM snack was whole wheat crackers and raisins/craisins. Our snack at 4:45 was carrots.
Have a great evening!
