It became an impromptu Dads Rock day. First with our message board, then as we watched Clara’s dad put her hair in a pony. Lastly, when Emerson asked a teacher “How can you do that (make a hair braid) without your dad?”

We rocked it out at other moments in our morning with music, counting the letters in our names, building a mosquito catcher, creating the sky with magnetic poles and spheres, playing games and finally, meeting the future Mr. Clutter, a friend of Elizabeth’s mom.
