PLEASE NOTE: We are tentatively planning on taking Group A (the older kids) to the Apple Orchard next Wednesday, Oct 8th.  I’ll keep you posted as the forecast comes out and the plans develop.

We could not have had a better fall day to begin October and to explore the farm.  Today we picked…and picked….and picked up.  We brought back to WF a wonderful assortment of nature (corn, pine cones, pine branches, flowers, seed pods and so on).  The children also found at least a dozen small frogs which they found challenging to pick up and to keep ahold of!  Same story with the grasshopper. 

It was a beautiful morning of exploration and learning.

 

Breakfast was PB rice cakes and fresh raspberries.  Lunch was Farm fresh egg and potato casserole, whole wheat english muffins and bananas.  Snack will be refried black beans and wheat crackers.
