Today we loaded Group A into our Weehicle and drove the winding roads to Galien, Michigan. The WF caravan following us to the orchard know what I mean by winding roads! (Sometimes google maps can give you some interesting roads to travel!)
It was a beautiful morning, in a beautiful place. Springhope Farms is worth the drive to experience the quiet and quaint apple picking experience that I was seeking for our kids.
There were no bouncy houses, corn mazes, ginormous slides, or crowds of school age kids. Instead of all that, we spent one on one time with Springhope Farm owner Bob Woods. It was just us in the orchard…and we found trees loaded with wonderful sweet apples that were all within our preschoolers’ reach. Everyone enjoyed the hayride and walking down the lane picking red delicious from one side and the yellow delicious apples from the other.
We can’t forget that we have 2 birthdays today…Miss Jessica and Elliott! Happy Birthday!
Breakfast: Brown Rice cakes and pears.
Wee Sprouts: celery
Lunch: APPLES! and whole wheat tortillas with PB and sweet peppers
Snack is Elliott’s 5 year old birthday muffins (he is, not the muffins) and milk.
Have a great day!
