Hello! Here are a few highlights from today’s work. Friends gathered in housekeeping for a whole range of dramatic play, from ironing and sleeping to serving food and feeding babies:
Other children stacked dice and glued “jewels”:
Building and the flour sensory bin were also popular choices!
Outside we were still impressed by the warm November weather. Friends eagerly watched the garbage truck as it made its rounds through the alley. The truck even honked its horn for us!
Kindergarten: Today during kindergarten time friends continued working on their current projects. Elizabeth sewed a felt triangle onto her stocking while Elliott practiced chaining in crochet and had his first lesson on the single crochet stitch. During this work, there was also lots of great conversation about how clothes and fabric are made!
Wee Sprouts: Pea pods. Breakfast: Toasted whole wheat English muffin with peanut butter and fresh apples. Lunch: Whole wheat pasta with chicken, fresh carrots and oranges/bananas. Snack: Organic whole milk yogurt with homemade granola.
