Good Afternoon!
We worked with our hands this morning as we manipulated moon sand. Using different tools including measuring cups, spoons, and spatulas, we formed the moon sand into many different structures! We made a moon sand pancake, castle, and house!
We looked at the sky and it seemed to be a little darker than normal so we cleaned up and headed outside a little early. Anna was just a little excited to get some fresh air!
The dark skies kept coming closer so friends headed to the ‘interbase’. This is where we go when a storm is rolling in. The group forecasts when the bad weather is going to get to us! “Get to the interbase! Get to the interbase!”, many children called out.
It finally started to rain and thunder/lightning so we headed inside. It wasn’t quite lunch time so we had some down time where we read a new Robert Munsch book that I got at the library. It was very funny and seemed to be a group favorite!
In large group, we read a book titled, “To Market! To Market!”. We learned about how another culture’s market is set up. They have many different items available that none of us have seen at our market before such as chickens and many kinds of fish! As we’re reading it, Clara shouted, “Hey! That’s a sari! We learned about that yesterday.”
