Happy Friday!
**Reminder: the pre-conference form is due TODAY! Thanks!
Addi, Lulu, and Maddie created at the art table for the most of the morning. They showed the initiative by grabbing paper, markers, and stencils and created various art pieces using a variety of colors. They bounced ideas off of each other and collaborated as each of them had a specific end goal in mind.
We have been doing a wide range of puzzles for the last couple of weeks. The variety of puzzles range from wooden knob puzzles to foam puzzles to 48 piece wooden puzzles. A few friends are scratching the surface of 100-piece puzzles. Below is an article laying out the many benefits of puzzle play.

In large group, we read ‘The Tooth Book’ by Dr. Seuss. We discussed cavities and fillings along with dentist visit stories! I told them that I’m taking my dog to the vet at Purdue on Monday which lead us into a discussion about MRI’s and X-Rays. The bone structure in our body was talked about as well as Lulu letting us know that “the bone in your head is actually called your skull!” Children’s brains are like sponges; they soak EVERYTHING up!
Breakfast– Rice cakes with cream cheese and banana.
Lunch– No nut butter on tortillas, grapes/oranges, and cherry tomatoes/cauliflower.
PM snack– Block cheese and raspberries/blueberries.
Wee Sprout– Cauliflower.
Have a terrific weekend!
