Good Afternoon!
Today, we celebrated many important events in our Wee Friends lives.
Jackson said a farewell to Wee Friends with his last kindergarten sign in this morning. He and Addi were given a special kindergarten graduation ceremony this afternoon as they truly have been invaluable to our class this past year. They epitomized what it means to be a leader and showed the next kindergarten class what it means to take on the role.
We’ve so enjoyed watching you grow these last two years, Jackson. You’re going to flourish wherever you go in life. WEE love you!
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…”
-Dr. Seuss
We’re sending out a BIG happy early 5th birthday to Maddie! Hope you have a wonderfully special weekend.
Miss Kaylee invited children to the table to experiment with ice. We used ice, buckets, and watercolor paint to see what would happen to the ice when we painted it with the water colors! A few friends noted that the more they moved the ice around, the quicker it melted.
It was all about healthy choices today for lunch (and celebrating graduation day!).
Friends had the opportunity to make their own english muffin pizzas. We chose from ham, olives, pineapple, green pepper, tomatoes, and mushrooms along with two different kinds of cheese. We talked about the healthy choices we were making and what that does for our bodies.
To add to our homemade pizza, Maddie brought in fruit kabobs for her birthday treat! Our plates looked QUITE spectacular today.
Breakfast– Rice cake with cream cheese and strawberries.
Lunch– Homemade english muffin pizzas, Maddie’s birthday fruit kabobs, and cucumbers.
PM snack– Outshine Fruit Bars and string cheese.
Wee Sprout– Peppers.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
-Mindy
