Good Afternoon!

Children gathered in the science area to listen to Miss Kaylee read ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’. Throughout the story, Miss Kaylee asked questions pertaining to the story. Friends guessed what would happen next and shared their feelings about specific colored crayons.

After Miss Kaylee finished reading the book, the group headed to the art table where they each wrote a letter to a specific colored crayon. Given our friends have various levels of readiness for letter writing, some friends wrote out their letter using their kid spelling while others told Miss Kaylee what they wanted her to write.

The habitrail was like an ever rotating door as friends needed a space to move their bodies around in a positive and engaging way.

Franklin asked Anna to help him with the alphabet train puzzle so together, they put it together before tackling the farm floor puzzle.
