In large group, we read ‘The Three Little Pigs and the Somewhat Bad Wolf’. We read the story and afterwards, we went through and discussed specific events that took place. We documented what each house was made of. In this version of the story, all three pigs got money from the farmer who up and left town so they had to find a new place to live.

Pig #1 used some of his money to purchase straw for his house while using the rest to buy potato chips. Pig #2 used some of his money to purchase sticks while using the rest to buy sody-pop. But pig #3 used all of her money to buy bricks to build a brick house.

The wolf went to the first and second house and blew them down before coming upon house #3 which was too sturdy to be blown down. Eventually, the pigs let the wolf in and they ate dinner together. After that, the wolf was a nice creature instead of the bad creature he started out as.

We wrote a quick overview of the story and what we learned from it.

The rest of our day consisted of fine motor work at the art table, mainly with glue and scissors. Our younger friends are working on gluing items to paper and holding scissors correctly.

Our garden was bursting with vegetables that were ready to pick. Miss Melinda held a bowl while children picked tomatoes that were red which meant they were ready to eat!
