Happy Friday!
In large group, we read a story titled, ‘Tea Rex’. On the cover, there was a tea party taking place and one of the guests looked to be a big T-REX! Before we started reading, we brainstormed about what the story could be about. None of us had ever read the story before so we were anxious to see how the plot unfolded. On each page, we looked at the pictures and listened to the authors words. As a group, we talked about what could possibly be on the next page using the information that we had!

A few children helped Miss Melinda with the bumpy pumpkin escapade that took place this morning!
First, Miss Melinda carved the top so that we could take the stem on and off. A group of friends decided there should be a face on the pumpkin so we chose different features that we thought might look good on the pumpkin.
Next, friends took turns getting the pumpkin guts out. A few of us noted that, “This is too gross and disgusting”, so they handed the job over to a peer!
The pumpkin was placed on the art table and children took turns using their fine motor skills to place beads on several pipe cleaners that were placed randomly on the pumpkin.
Some gorgeous and creative pumpkins were made at Wee Friends this week…talk about TEAM WORK!
