Nappers at WF: Please bring in a cot/travel size pillow AND pillowcase for your napper. It is very important that it is the smaller size or our cots won’t stack!

Music flowed through the house this morning as a mixture of piano and maracas were played. We’ve been interested in the bean bags lately. Friends talk about colors as well as working on their throwing abilities
.
Our latest interest includes animals and the sounds they make. As we walked outside, we saw a few birds outside.
Maya and Tate looked up toward the sky and shouted, “Tweet, tweet!!”
We loved filling buckets with rocks.
For breakfast, children had Kashi and oranges. Lunch consisted of hummus on tortillas, tomatoes, and banana. PM snack was whole grain bunny crackers and cheddar cheese.
Have a great night.
Do you ever wonder what the Wee daily nap/rest time looks like? Yesterday, Melinda snapped some pictures so you could see where your Wee Friend rejuvenates for the afternoon. It looks something like this:
12pm- We eat lunch
12:15ish- Wee Friends split into two groups: Oldest friends in small group in science center and youngest WF in small group on music rug.
12:20ish-12:45: Read aloud/ message board inquiry/ hands on investigations with math/literacy.
12:45- Older kids go to their appointed rest stop (it changes each week) and younger kids go to their cots.
12:45- Potty rotations/tuck ins/music on.
Wee Rest.
Have a peaceful day.

Friends chose to get out the blocks and gross motor activities. We love to move our bodies throughout the environment.
There was a traffic jam on the Wee highway this morning. The bikes and cars were quite popular.
Tate and Lucy played with the leaves. They threw them into the air along with moving them throughout the backyard.
It was a smiley naptime today! ![]()

“What is this?”
This was our morning discussion. We created paper and salt dough fruit to add to it.
We read lots of books and asked lots of questions. After The Three Little Pigs, a few friends built a house of bricks. After jamming out to Five Little Monkeys, we read two versions of the book and compared and contrasted. We got outside before the sprinkles. Hope you are having a great day. –Laurie
