Here’s a couple shots of the infant photo shoot that occurred this afternoon
. As you can tell, we’re very photogenic!

Have a great night!
If the weather permits and we are fully staffed, Tami will be taking our youngest friends to the farm tomorrow. These friends are: Zoi, Clara, Leo, Eve, Emma, Eren and Daniel.
It was Sophie’s lion’s desire coming through in a whisper “Can we play the Wizard of Oz?”. And so our morning began. As the music played friends, one by one, joined the skip down the yellow brick road. As always, when Somewhere Over the Rainbow began, friends collected soft pillows so they could lie in the hay, beneath the rainbow.
Math FAB K.2.3 – Describe addition situations.
Lisa gathered friends to the art table to count and string beads.
Literacy FAB K.3.3 – Identify characters, settings and important events in the story.
Using two felt piece stories: Wheels on the Bus and Humpty Dumpty, friends studied characters and heard the word used to describe who they were seeing. We sang about each character riding the bus. Friends shared observations (ex: a smiling G’ma) and we chose to sing something about her: “The Grandma on the bus says “have a cookie! have a cookie! have a cookie!” The Grandma on the bus says “have a cookie!” all through the town.”
Lisa gathered friends for a story. Lone Star Lizette came over to hear the story. She shared with us that she had a cold. Friends shared with her what to do when her nose was runny. They guided her through the process of getting a tissue all the way to washing her hands.
Have a great day!
Wee Sprouts: Celery sticks. Breakfast: Cheerios and pear slices. Lunch: Hummus on whole wheat tortillas, pineapple and corn/peas. Snack: Bananas and cheese sticks.
Good Afternoon! Happy last day of September!
Tate and Maya started off their morning with floor time! It’s amazing to watch our baby friends interact. We’re growing every single day
.
Emma, Eren, and Eve ventured up the log house together this morning. This is the first time that all three friends have been up at the top without teacher help! They were so proud of themselves
.
Eren pointed out that there were a ton of leaves on the ground. We went around picking up a few of our favorites. We talked about the color of each leaf we picked up.
We had a lot to choose from!
We ended the day by having Emma demonstrate what her new puppy does! Emma and her family got a brand new puppy over the weekend! Emmie sure had fun talking about her new doggie, ‘Gus’. ![]()
For breakfast, children had toast with soy butter and raisins. Lunch consisted of whole grain noodles with shredded chicken, green beans, and apples. PM snack was graham crackers and raisins.
Have a lovely evening!
Happy Monday!
The plan for farm this week is that Tami and Mindy will take Group C on Wednesday. (This is tentative as we have a sick teacher today and we do need everyone well and a full staff to do field trips.)
Group C is: Zoi, Clara, Leo, Eve, Emma, Eren and Daniel.
WF had a wonderful morning mixed with some teacher directed and child initiated explorations in Halloween math, life skills with Lizette our very large puppet, stories, and lots of building! We also had a special guest as Zoi’s Great Grandma shared our morning
We also had the blue bus this morning.
Breakfast was Peanut Butter Toast. Wee Sprouts were celery. Lunch was whole wheat pasta & chicken, green beans and sliced apples. Snack will peanuts and crackers.
Have a fabulous day!
Tami
Happy Friday!
Our morning started off with some exciting ball work. Eren and Emma started in the cubbies and rolled the balls across the room. They chased their balls together! They had a blast.
We played pretend drums. We rolled around. We were crazy. We are two
.
Tate gave Saskia BIG smiles today ![]()
As we headed outside, the trampoline was an option for kids to partake in.
We did a great job waiting for our name to be called.
Friends counted 1, 2, 3, 4,…. and when we got to 10 friends switched!
For breakfast, children had chex and apples. Lunch consisted of ham, tortillas, chees slices, apples, and peas. PM snack was pretzels and string cheese.
We’ll leave you with smiles from a couple of Wee Wee’s…
Have a great weekend!

Good Afternoon!
Our day was full of smiles and laughter. Our numbers were lower than normal which allowed friends to bond with one another. Even with the age difference, our older friends LOVE to interact with the babies. Eren gave numerous kisses to the babies all day long.
It was a gorgeous day so we spent as much time outside as possible
. The clear blue skies were amazing! Children get so refreshed after a nice time outside!
For breakfast, children had corn flakes and oranges. Lunch consisted of whole grain rice with pork, oranges, and broccoli. PM snack was fresh whole grain bread with soy butter and raisins.
Have a lovely evening!
We honed in on math FABS today. Lisa offered friends a basket filled with plastic skulls, spiders, pumpkins, snakes and mini-cauldrons. Using ice cube trays as a graph, they counted, sorted, identified more and less, one/many and counted up to ten objects. Some friends wrote the numbers on paper. Math FABS: K.1.7 – Find the number that is one more than or one less than any whole number up to 10. K.1.6 – Count, recognize, represent, name and order a number of objects (up to 10). K.1.8 – Use correctly the words one/many, none/some/all, more/less and most/least.
Elizabeth and Sophie built a long road that led to a castle.
Typically, Aislinn and Owen begin their day bonding over Magna-Tiles, Trios or other building/counting materials.
Max and Elliott spent much of their morning work time designing 3D creations.
Another example of great math work happening through play: Marina led her friends as they sorted, stacked and organized familiar household materials. And then they worked on their laptops.
How do work on math at your house?
