“The world’s best acrobats on the earth.” – Jane
There were lots of wonderful things being learned today, but among the most joyful, was the acrobatics show that took place on the front porch. It began as Jane’s dance rehearsal, preparing a special Grandma’s Arrival Dance. As friends joined her and it grew, friends displayed their acrobatic, applauding, watching, taking turns, assisting one another, encouraging one another and announcing talents, at great length.
In another part of the classroom, friends worked with bumblebee puppets.
Ada shared that she would be getting a sewing machine for her birthday. That led to a discussion about how puppets were made. We found our Muppet pattern and talked about what a sewing pattern was. Several friends decided to make a pattern.
And other friends hung around, working in their favorite areas, doing their favorite things to do.
As I write, friends are finishing their pretzels and yogurt snack, Lisa is painting fingernails and there’s a game playing gang getting going. Two friends are pretending to be Tami and Lisa. Marta just asked if I want to pretend to be her teacher. Hope your weekend gets off to a great start!
