Hello!
Not only do we see the benefits of multi-age care inside WWF but also when we travel outside to be with our older Wee Friends!
During the day, friends learn from one another; language, social skills, and cognitive knowledge. We know that each friend lives in a different environment. Everyone is exposed to new and exciting things which allows their experiences to be individualized. Eve has a new baby at home. While this is particular to Eve and her family, she brings knowledge into her play that she’s learning at home such as how to help the baby eat and sleep.
While outside, the age difference is larger but that doesn’t inhibit friends from playing with one another. Most times, you’ll look in the back yard and see a two year old playing with a group of four and five year olds. This benefits both ages. We love being able to indulge in play time with our Wee Friends!
For breakfast, children had whole wheat bagel with cinnamon and banana. Lunch consisted of whole grain rice with chicken, pineapple/raisins, and mixed vegetables.
Have a great night!
