To the tune of “Wheels on the Bus”:
“What do you do when you’re feeling sad? Feeling sad, feeling sad.
What do you do when you’re feeling sad? Squish the Play-Do.”
And so we did.
To the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know It”:
“If you’re sad and you know it, squish the Play-Do!
If you’re sad and you know it, squish the Play-Do!
If you’re sad and you know it, squish the Play-Do and get it out…
If you’re sad and you know it, squish the Play-Do!”
So we squished, pounded, tossed, textured, squeezed, pinched and created with Play Do. AND we got the sadness out.
At every other turn, Jessica worked on letter/number recognition. She used the page numbers of a glossary to do so. As well as the letters and words of an interesting gerbil book.
When we heard a loud buzzing and motor sound outside, we ran out to see what it was. And we kept running. And listening to the tree trimmers.
Hope your day is happy….and you know it. –Laurie
