On this Blue Bus morning, we jumped into  opportunities to create math: First, Math FAB K.4.1: Identify and describe common geometric shapes. We also incorporated Math FAB K.4.3 by using the terms: inside,outside, between, above and below. 

We further explored shapes at the Play Do table by singing (to the tune Frere Jacques)

“Rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling, make a ball, make a ball.

A circle can be a ba-all, a circle can be a ba-all,

Rolling a ball, rolling a ball.”

We sang about pressing rectangles and pinching triangles.

 

We folded rectangular wash cloths.

Wee Sprouts: Carrots. Breakfast: Whole wheat toast with hummus and apples. Lunch: Penne pasta with turkey, apples and peas. Snack: Yogurt and a PPC fruit.
