A Wee Welcome to 2015 and a Wee Welcome to Saskia, our newest Wee Friend. How happy we are that both have arrived.

 

We’ve spent the day reacquainting ourselves with one another. We implemented Literacy FAB K.1.9 (Record information using objects and pictures) to hear vacation (and original!) stories. First,  Jessica invited friends to create story dice and tell stories (a few of our friends narrated sequentially: beg/middle/end) about the pictures they saw on the dice. We also played a Seasonal Matching game in which friends first told the story of what they saw on the card and then matched it to the appropriate corresponding cup.

And as is always the case, stories unfolded in the work friends created independently and with one another.

Our 2015 story has a happy beginning!

Wee Sprouts: Carrots. Breakfast: Whole wheat bread with butter and apple slices. Lunch: Whole wheat pasta with red beans and butter, apple slices and corn. Snack: Yogurt and a PPC fruit delivery.
