Hello!

Keeping with our Kindergarten theme for the week (K.3.2 Investigate that things move in different ways, such as fast, slow, etc.):

We read a Robert Munsch book entitled, “Andrew’s Loose Tooth”. Elizabeth and Elliott shared their experience of losing a tooth. As a group, we talked about the perfect/easiest way to lose a tooth. The responses varied among the group with, ‘leaving it be’ getting the most votes Smile. Friends brought up the scenario of ‘pulling it out quickly’, which to that most said, “Ouch!” or had a scared face!

An activity was made available this morning for children to partake in. Paint choices were put on the table along with straws. A teacher demonstrated how to blow through the straw to make the paint move!

We took a deep breath and exhaled through out straw.

“Look it moved!”

“I’m mixing the colors!”

“I need green but since Tate’s using the green, I can just mix yellow and blue together!”

Elliott drew a diagram for Miss Melinda that entailed details of an experiment he started in the tub last night. He put a cup on the edge of the tub and it eventually popped up and made the water shoot up! He gathered the materials he needed and tried to duplicate the experiment, with his friends help of course!

Our friends have been on the hunt for BUGS! Rollie pollies, crickets, and spiders..just to name a few Smile. A certain child kept asking this morning, “When are we going outside? I have to check on my bugs!”

Clara, Elizabeth, and Emerson pretended to be mice for the day. They gathered grass and weeds to build a mouse fire along with food to survive. As a group, they were extremely resourceful!

For breakfast, we had oatmeal with cinnamon and bananas. Lunch was farm fresh scrambled eggs, whole wheat bread, oranges/banana, and cauliflower/carrots. PM snack was popcorn and grapes. Our wee sprout for the day was carrots.

Have a lovely evening.
