Good Afternoon,

This morning proved to be cold and rainy, so we decided to stay inside to do an art project. We took some red and green paint, added gold glitter, and stamped our papers with gift bows. Their creations turned out very well. Each of them had their own unique design.

K.3.2 Identify maps and globes as ways of representing Earth and understand differences between a map/globe.

Today during large group and PreK2 group time, we discussed what a map is used for and what is on it. Large group looked at several maps (including a map of the North Pole) and brainstormed what things are found on the maps they viewed.

PreK2 looked at a map Ms. Kim and Lucy made last Friday of Wee Friends. Today’s group questions was: If you want to draw where would you go? They looked at the map, answered the question, and wrote their names under to correct choice.

Breakfast: English muffins with PB & fresh oranges

Lunch: Whole wheat pasta with beef, fresh red grapes, & broccoli florets

PM Snack: Vanilla yogurt with fresh raspberries

Wee Sprout: Fresh cucumbers
