Good Afternoon!

In K/PREK1, we read a book titled, ‘In The City’ which is a Usborne book. Each page has items hiding so you need to put a flashlight behind the page to illuminate the items! There were different aspects of cities such as work buildings, parks, and several other areas that make up a city. We used a map as a guide to look at specific cities around us.

Social Studies: K.3.2 Identify maps and globes as ways of representing Earth and understand differences between a map/globe.

In PREK2, children looked at the map of the United States. They each pointed to a state which Miss Kim identified. Franklin pointed to Indiana and said, “Hey, that’s where I live!”. After each state was identified, they talked about the weather and climate and how they differed.
