Good Afternoon!
In K/PREK1, we read a book titled, ‘In The City’ which is a Usborne book. Each page has items hiding so you need to put a flashlight behind the page to illuminate the items! There were different aspects of cities such as work buildings, parks, and several other areas that make up a city. We used a map as a guide to look at specific cities around us.
Social Studies: K.3.2 Identify maps and globes as ways of representing Earth and understand differences between a map/globe.
In PREK2, children looked at the map of the United States. They each pointed to a state which Miss Kim identified. Franklin pointed to Indiana and said, “Hey, that’s where I live!”. After each state was identified, they talked about the weather and climate and how they differed.

Breakfast– Corn chex and fresh grapes.
Lunch– Brown rice and shredded chicken with cheese, fresh pears/banana, and fresh cucumber/carrots.
PM snack– Peanuts with whole wheat crackers.
Wee Sprout– Fresh cucumber/carrots.
