Happy Friday!
We read, ‘Spring’ and ‘A Swim’ in K/PREK1 group from a Frog and Toad book. Both short stories revolved around weather and a certain time of the year.
‘Spring’ was about Frog and Toad coming out of hibernation and exploring the outdoors since it had warmed up and the snow had melted. Friends were quick to point out that we are in the same month that Frog and Toad were in during the story: April!
All week, we’ve been talking about weather changes and how it affects us. Just like today’s forecast and tomorrow’s forecast: completely different which allows us to do a wider range of activity outside!
Science: K.3.5 Describe and give examples of weather changes and illustrate how weather affects people and the environment.

In PREK2 group, children were able to explore what a tornado looks like using a bottle creation that Miss Kim made!
Several children in our K/PREK1 group love playing memory games! This morning, we got out the memory game that focuses on rhyming words! A few of their younger peers sat in and played as they teamed up in groups of two or three.
It was a great combination of competitiveness and cooperation as children were cheering each other on when they found a match.
Enjoy the pictures from the rest of our morning!
