Greetings!

We took our Kindergarten sign-in outside this morning. They each had a list of snakes found throughout the world. We took our tape measure to see how large they are in real life. We discovered that the Reticulated Python was the biggest coming in at 21 feet. The smallest was only 4 inches long. A few of the snakes were about the same size as Bo.

Today we created mixed media paintings.  One of our friends had the idea to draw something and then paint it so we turned it into an art project.  We learned that mixed media is when two or more materials are used to make a piece of art.  Many of us tried making artwork using markers and water color paint.  Another fun discovery was how to flick the paint using ones thumb against the bristles as a way to make a splash painting.  It was both an interesting effect and a technique that kept the paint within our own image and off of our neighbors.

We also played candy shop with glass beads.  We organized our candies into jars based on color.  We got out some pretend money and interacted buying and selling our candy.  They were hot ticket items selling for up to 100 dollars a piece!
