Happy Friday!
There was a lot of art making today both inside and out! We started indoors with an interest that has been expressed in drawing on black paper. We chose from mixed media options at the art center from chalk to pastel to white colored pencils. All of these things would show up nicely on black paper allowing us to experiment with something new as well as answer the question “What shows up on black?” This is a question that came up at the outdoor art center while we were working on nature collages. We took our art interest outside later on with a big collaborative water color mural.
Adrian has suddenly shown a big advance in his drawing skills using very deliberate lines and shapes! What interesting art he is making! We can’t wait to see what he does next!
We are all still loving imaginative play with new loose parts trays to spark our imaginations and stimulate our senses each day!
Breakfast: Brown rice cakes with peanut butter and fresh pears.
Lunch:Hummus sandwiches on whole wheat tortilla, fresh cucumbers/peppers, and bananas.
PM snack: Block cheese and pretzels.
Wee Sprout- Fresh pepper/cucumber.
