Good Afternoon!
Even though it was a rainy day, it didn’t dampen our mood. We brought down the red disc swing for everyone to take a turn to swing.
Miss Bekah also added a color block pyramid to the housekeeping area. We enjoyed taking the pyramid apart and looking through each of the colored squares.
We then headed into the kitchen with Miss Bekah to engage in water play with real leaves. Inside the table we explored using a baster to squeeze that water into and then back out, slotted spoons to scoop up the leaves and watch the water run through, tongs for picking the leaves up with and bowls to place them in or to scoop the water into and then pour it out. During our play, we found that if we were to put the wet leaf onto our skin it would stay in place and we would have to use our hand to remove it from our skin.
We then headed out to crawl through the big tunnel. We had 4 passage ways to choose from and a hole in the middle to pop up and look out. We had a great time using it.
Eleanor enjoyed sitting on the reading step to look at a book and crawling on the habi-trail and peeking around to see Ben. Eden enjoyed exploring and looking inside of the Peek-a-blocks and another friend was crawling over the textured circles to feel them on his knees.
Breakfast: Overnight oatmeal with cinnamon/sugar mixture and bananas.
Lunch: Farm fresh scrambled eggs with shredded cheddar cheese, fresh green apple slices, orange bell pepper slices and whole grain wheat English muffin.
Afternoon Snack: Hummus on whole grain wheat flatbread.
Have a wonderful evening!
