Good Afternoon!

We talked about question marks for our PREK1 sign in this morning. Before we start thinking about using question marks in our writing, we should understand what they mean and when we use them. Children answered my question, ‘What Is Your Favorite Lunch Food?’. We already knew this but the majority reinforced that PASTA is their favorite lunch food! We did have one child share, ‘They’re all my favorites!”—she was able to narrow it down and choose one Smile .

We continued exploring our Halloween holiday interest in some new black and orange home made playdoh! Several kids liked creating Halloween themed pastries. They decorated their creations with spiders, ghosts and pumpkins making some beautiful and spooky pretend treats!

At the round table we explored a “bone dig”. We hid and looked for bones buried in the sand. Some kids had creative ideas for their finds. One friend made a graveyard filled with ghosts using his excavated bones. Another friends wanted to make a spooky Halloween garden with hers. She planted her bones like stalks in neat rows :).
