Happy November!
**Since we are in November, here’s an early reminder: WWF will be closed November 27th and 28th (Thursday and Friday) in observance of the holiday. Thanks
.
Our Monday started off with stories. A few groups were going as children were listening to Miss Marty read as well as our IUSB student Victoria.
Saskia was quite impressed with the amount of leaves in the backyard. She shuffled her feet as she ran, knocking the leaves up into the air!
A little snuggle time took place during naptime as Anna started off with laying by Annabelle and then proceeded to move and read books with Tate.
For breakfast, children had toast with butter and cinnamon along with banana. Lunch consisted of homemade whole wheat macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, and banana. PM snack was yogurt and crackers.
Hope everyone has a fantastic rest of your day!
Cassie turns 24 today! Her presence in our classroom is a gift!
MATH FAB K.6.3 Explain the reasoning used with concrete objects and pictures.
This is what got Melinda and the Wee Friends rolling.
What is this and what do you do with it? Friends reasoned out loud and Melinda followed their directions precisely as they stated them.
A great way to start our Wee week. Hope your week is off to a great start as well. –Laurie

Although we couldn’t have our Halloween Parade outside, that didn’t stop us from having a lot of fun indoors.
First—a runway show down the “red carpet” to share our amazing costumes with our friends.
Second—A Halloween Parade inside Wee Friends! We marched to spooky music all around the house, led by our fearless leader Elliott aka “No Noggin”.
The excitement of putting on costumes, marching, twirling, swirling, and clapping made Wee Friends an energy-filled place this afternoon! We hope you have a safe and warm Halloweekend.
-Jessica
Happy Friday and Happy Halloween!
For breakfast, children had malt-o-meal and banana. Lunch consisted of hummus on tortillas, broccoli, and banana. PM snack was cheddar cheese slices and Tami’s homemade pumpkin whole grain muffins.
Have a safe and fun weekend!
We ended our morning of sharing and celebrating with this one question?
WHAT CAN YOU DO AT HOME THAT YOU CAN’T (usually) DO AT SCHOOL?
Watch TV. Charlie Brown’s Halloween. Have a great weekend. Costume pictures to follow later today. –The Wee Teachers.

Happy Thursday!
Nahla and Saskia started off their morning with pegs and number boards. We counted as we put each peg into the board. As we got higher and higher, we compared two boards and discussed less and more.
We bundled up and headed outside where friends took turns riding bikes. The sandbox was a hit as usual.
For breakfast, children had kix and pears. Lunch consisted of whole grain rice with chicken, banana/oranges, and corn. PM snack was cheddar cheese and bunny crackers.
Have a great night!

Tomorrow’s weather is calling for a cool and wet afternoon. If it isn’t conducive for a Parade, we will celebrate the holiday indoors.
Holiday anticipation is mounting. We spent our morning singing, playing the piano, hiding, stirring, creating decorations, squishing Play Do, building and climbing.
We LET IT GO formally (with the Frozen track) but we really let it go all morning, supporting the Wee Friend’s interest and desire to celebrate, build and create.
Have a great day. –Laurie
Wee Sprouts: Broccoli. Breakfast: Raisin Bran and grapes. Lunch: Brown rice with chicken, mixed fruit salad and corn. Snack: PB and celery.
MATH FAB K.6.2: Use objects or drawings to model problems.
As our friends came to school today, we asked them “How would you fit this stick into this box?” We created a 3D exploration of the same question. We began our day cultivating a problem solving mentality. And it continued through the morning.
We then asked friends: What should we do with the newspaper broomsticks?” “Fly with them!”. We also stirred with them….and tried them on for size.
Have a great day. –Laurie
