Good Afternoon!
In pre-k/k group, we read a story titled, ‘No More Monsters for Me’. In the story, the main character really wanted a pet but ended up taking in a monster in stead. She quickly found out that monsters do not make good pets! After the story, we solved two story problems together by filling in the two blanks based on what we read. We worked together to solve the two problems!
K.CA.1-2: Solve real world problems, objects, or drawings that involve addition and subtraction within 10. Demonstrate the equation (e.g., 5= 3 + 2 and 5= 4 + 1)
The rest of the day involved several activities where children were engaged, inquisitive, and fulfilled.
Pre-k/k group journaled about castles, grandparents, and house with flowers!
The art table and building rug were overflowing with curiosity. We used our one to one correspondence skills to count trains, taught our younger peers how to play UNO, and used brand new markers!

Lunch– Brown rice with shredded chicken, fresh pineapple, and PPC cauliflower.
PM snack– Peanuts and wheat thins.
Wee Sprout– PPC cucumber/cauliflower.
Have a great evening.
