Good Afternoon!

We spent most of our morning outside, enjoying the fresh air and warm sunshine. Thankfully, when we’re given a beautiful morning like this, we can call an audible and spend our morning outside where children still explore numbers and letters while engaging with their peers, undoubtedly working on their social and emotional skills.

As I was searching through Teacher Tom’s blog just now, I came across this blog post from back in December. We spent all morning outside so I wanted to see if there was a connection. Not only did I find a connection to our morning, but I found a connection to our days here at Wee Friends: our program in general.

While we are thankful for the FAB’s (Framework for Academic Balance) that help us integrate our literary and mathematical skills (among several other areas of cognitive development), the most important thing that we want children to take away at the end of each day is a passion for learning, curiosity, and an understanding of who they are and who they want to be.

I found the background Bhutan rather interesting! Hope you enjoy.
