Happy Wednesday!

We stress sharing our emotions and feelings: good and bad.

Today, we focused on thankful and grateful feelings.

As a teaching team, we wanted to show our gratitude for these children by the best way we know how (besides words of course!).

..and that’s through food. If you know this group AT ALL, food is their favorite. Veggies. Fruit. Grain. (and apparently deviled eggs!)–They love it all! So, we thought we’d show our appreciation by preparing a unique lunch.

Several children gathered around the island to help Miss Kim make homemade pumpkin waffle mixture while others marveled at Miss Annastecia as she prepared the deviled eggs—it was a true group effort!

Food brings everyone together. Our lunch time was full of lovely conversation and lasting memories.

Breakfast– Whole grain oatmeal with cinnamon and fresh pineapple.

Lunch– Homemade pumpkin waffles, turkey, fresh fruit salad (apple, grapes, blueberries, strawberries), homemade deviled eggs, and cooked sweet potatoes.

PM snack– Blue corn chips and hummus.

Wee Sprout– Fresh carrots.
