Happy Friday!
**Reminder: The ‘Pre-Conference Form’ (yellow) is due next Friday, February 7th. Thank you!
Our Friday consisted of:
Conversations centered around authors and illustrators and the importance they play in the creation of stories. A friend in K/PREK1 shared, “I think that the author writes the words first so the illustrator knows what to draw.”
Children of various ages journaling throughout the day. The open concept of journaling appeals to all of our friends because what they journal about it important and meaningful to them.
Art table creations that ranged from a hammer to a treasure map.
A life skill lesson revolving around germs and how they are transferred from person to person. We talked about the important of hand washing along with the specific ways that germs can be transferred.
Breakfast– Brown rice cakes with peanut butter and fresh mango.
Lunch– Ham or turkey sandwiches on whole wheat tortilla, fresh pineapple/banana, and fresh carrots.
PM snack– Pretzels and Muenster block cheese.
Wee Sprout– Fresh carrots.
Have a fantastic weekend!
