Good Afternoon!
A few older friends have been created books at the art table this week. They make illustrations on several pieces of paper, add words that they know how to spell or sound out, and staple their finished product together!
When older peers are doing an activity like this, our younger kids pick up easily on what they’re doing and saying, often repeating something that they’ve heard.
The weather this morning was absolutely PERFECT! Children explored with chalk, adding art all over the yard while others chose to dig in different parts of the outdoor environment.
“Before we ever put a pencil in a child’s hands, those hands should dig, climb, press, pull, squish, twist, and pinch a wide array of environments and a wide variety of materials.”
