Happy Monday!
First, we want to wish a happy 3rd birthday to Ellie! We are so glad that we got to spend the day with you to celebrate your birthday.
Also, a big happy birthday to Miss Annastecia! It was a day full of laughter and celebrations!
After we read our story for K group, friends got to create their own addition problem. There were several cards facing down and they picked two cards to place into the addition problem. Once they added the two numbers together, they wrote the total on the line.
K.CA.1-2: Solve real-world problems, objects, or drawings that involve addition and subtraction within 10. Demonstrate the equation (e.g., 5= 2 + 3 and 5= 4 + 1).
In PREK2, children answered a specific question and after Miss Kim wrote their answer down, they wrote their names underneath their answer. One of the questions was, ‘What would you do if you had a pet turkey?’
The morning was full of children scattering to various places within the environment. Lately, a few of our younger children have been exploring the art table and simply using paper and markers.
Several fine motor building activities were explored. Mack and Franklin worked together to complete the colorful pattern blocks while James and Evie built with magnatiles.
It was quite the chilly morning but we didn’t mind—the fresh air and sunshine were great!
“Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat.”
