Happy Monday!
In K group, we read, ‘Hey, Little Ant’ which is a book that revolves around kindness and looking at a situation from another’s point of view. Afterwards, each friend found their name on a piece of paper. We gathered in a group and compared the length of the names. Together, we put them in order from shortest to longest. Mack and Z were comparing their names and put them up next to each other. Mack said, “My name is shorter because I can see a little pink in Z’s name!”
K.M.1: Make direction comparisons of the length, capacity, weight, and temperature of objects, and recognize which object is shorter, longer, taller, lighter, heavier, warmer, cooler, or holds more.
In PREK2, children read a new book and chatted about the word ‘predictions’. At a point in the book, children made predictions on who was going to be at the door!
For kindergarten sign in, children took five items and sorted them from shortest to longest!
