Good Afternoon!
Evie and a few peers were exploring with the colorful bears this morning. They made a choo choo train on the lazy susan and sang a song to go along with it! When they were done, they placed the colorful counters into the bin by color—like a rainbow!
The rest of our morning was non-stop: children finding activities and diving into them with their peers. Franklin used the trio blocks and wooden sticks for an impressive creation! He was so excited about it that he gathered his friends around to see it.
One of our kindergarteners loves investing and learning about dinosaurs. Miss Kim brought one of his favorite dinosaur books outside and together, they measured how long a dinosaur would be in real life!
Miss Kim took measuring tape and F would stand to mark the measurement. They measured four or five dinosaurs—the T Rex took up almost the whole backyard!
After they measured a shorter dinosaur, Miss Kim had F measure the dinosaur by his body lengths! The dinosaur was the length of five and half of F’s body!
Since temperatures are going to be dropping the next few days, we took advantage of the weather today by spending as much outside time as we could. There were times of loud, rambunctious running while there were moments of quite, meaningful play experiences. It was the perfect mixture!
