Good Afternoon!
After reading, ‘The Kissing Hand’, in K group, we all got a chance to say what our favorite animal is and why. Friends shared their favorite animal and one characteristic that the animal possesses that makes them special or unique. Our favorite animals range from tiger to bat to various dinosaurs.
Science: K.4.1 Give examples of plants and animals.
For kindergarten sign in, children had to draw a flower and identify the parts of a flower. Children were very detailed in their drawings, even drawing the water underneath the ground that gets absorbed by the roots!
We are so thankful for a daily schedule that can be altered to benefit the children’s needs. We were supposed to get rain around the time we usually went outside so instead, we headed out right after breakfast. Miss Annastecia and Miss Rebekah came out with our younger friends and brought a special book: Yoga Bunny!
A large group gathered in front of Miss Annastecia and listened to the story which is full of directions and yoga posses. What a great way to start our morning!
The yoga session and various activities where our bodies moved energetically made us hungry! We stopped for a quick veggie break and our Wee Sprouts didn’t even last two minutes! It didn’t help that our sprouts for the day were cucumber and pepper: our two FAVORITES!
Breakfast– Whole Grain Cheerios with banana.
Lunch– Brown rice with shredded chicken and butter, fresh cantaloupe, and fresh green beans/cucumber.
PM snack– Graham crackers with peanuts.
Wee Sprout– Fresh cucumber/pepper.
Have a lovely evening!
