Happy Wednesday!
Earlier this morning, kindergarteners came to sign in! They had to come up with a job that uses a specific tool that was mentioned. For example, the tools hammer, ladder, and truck were the three tools that were mentioned. Children had to come up with jobs that use those tools.
Social Studies: K.4.2 Identify and describe different kinds of jobs that people do and the tools they use.
In PREK2 group, friends worked together to match a tool to the profession that uses that tool!
Children periodically checked on the new members of our classroom: a group of caterpillars! Throughout the day, children observed the caterpillars eating and moving around the cage. We’re anxious to watch the life cycle of the caterpillars and see what happens next!
A group of older boys used a map outside this morning! They used the map to search for treasure—unfortunately, no treasure was found but they all did a fantastic job at reading the map!
