Good Afternoon!
The second day of the Wee Friends Olympics saw children step out of their comfort zone! The Javelin throw (or Tube Toss as we call it) tested our physical strength and coordination.
Our older friends did a great job at demonstrating how to throw the tube for their younger peers. Miss Kim got out the tape measurer to see how long our throws were and the longest was around 21 feet!
We were able to pull up a few past Olympic videos of the javelin throw and WOW! Friends were very impressed with how far they were able to throw it.
By the end of the morning, we really got our technique down!
Breakfast– Toasted oatmeal squares with fresh strawberries.
Lunch– Peanut butter on whole wheat flatbread, cheddar sliced cheese, fresh watermelon, and fresh cucumber/pepper/carrot.
PM snack– Whole wheat cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and block cheddar cheese.
Wee Sprout– Fresh carrots/cucumber/pepper.
Have a lovely night!
