Good Afternoon!
The welcome activity drew children in this morning! Various wooden blocks were made available in the middle of the lazy susan. Franklin, Mack, and Daniel created unique designs using shapes. They identified the shapes as they used them.
Our Wee Friends bakery has been open for about one week in the housekeeping area. Today at the art table, children got the opportunity to decorate their own cake (aka wooden block). They used a frosting mixture (glue and shaving cream) and spread it onto their cake. They could also add sprinkles to their cake if they wanted to!
Our outside time was glorious! Children grabbed nature items all throughout the yard: leaves, sticks, and rocks to use in their play.
We also got out the blue scooters which provided a fantastic gross motor activity!
Breakfast– Corn Chex and banana.
Lunch– Peanut butter on whole wheat flatbread, fresh watermelon, and fresh cucumber/carrot.
PM snack– Whole wheat bagel with cream cheese and string cheese.
Wee Sprout– Fresh carrots/cucumber.
