Happy Friday!
We ended our week by celebrating our first March birthday: Millie turned 4! We are so thankful we got to celebrate with her. March is FULL of birthdays and Millie’s friends were thrilled to get to celebrate her today!
Mack and Evie worked with number patterns for their kindergarten sign in! They had to complete three different patterns where they added 2, 5, and 10 respectively in each pattern.
K.CA.5: Create, extend, and give an appropriate rule for simple repeating and growing patterns with numbers and shapes.
We read, ‘Miss Nelson Is Missing’ in K/PREK1 group which flowed right into our Venn Diagram where we compared and contrasted the two main characters of the story. We put the information we came up with on the Venn Diagram. We worked extremely well together throughout the group session and were able to add several bits of information to the diagram.
K.W.5: With support, build understanding of a topic using various sources. (Identify relevant pictures, charts, grade-appropriate texts, personal experiences, or people as sources)
It was so nice and sunny out this morning that we decided to get bikes out! Children were absolutely ecstatic riding their bikes.
Breakfast– Brown rice cakes with peanut butter and banana.
Lunch– Whole wheat tortilla with melted shredded cheese and turkey, fresh apples, and fresh green beans/cucumber/pepper.
PM snack– Millie’s birthday treat: fresh peppers, pretzels and hummus!
Wee Sprout– Fresh green beans/cucumber/pepper.
Have a wonderful weekend.
