Good Afternoon!
Today is a bittersweet day, as two of our friends will move across the bridge to the pre-school classroom next week. We will miss them dearly, but know that we will still be able to see and engage in play with them outside.
We began our day climbing, listening to a teacher read or looking at a book independently and engaged giving a baby a bath in the sink.
Emily asked to listen to the song, Row, Row, Row Your Boat. All of her friends, grabbed a big plastic block to sit in and moved their arms in the rowing motion as we listened to the song.
We then headed into the kitchen to engage in the rice/bird seed sensory table. We all were busy scooping and pouring with our cups into our bowls and looking for the plastic ant that was hidden in the table until we found it.
We then headed outside to engage in our favorite activities.
Breakfast: Whole grain brown rice cakes with peanut butter/cream cheese (child’s choice) and fresh apples/pears.
Lunch: Turkey lunchmeat/cream cheese roll-ups, whole grain wheat bread, fresh pears and mixed vegetables.
Afternoon Snack: Pretzels and mozzarella cheese stick.
Wee Sprouts: Orange bell peppers.
Have a great weekend!
Rebekah
