Good Afternoon!
For kindergarten sign in, our three kindergarteners played a round of ‘Community Helper Bingo’!
I read a description and they had to look at on their board to see if they had that specific community helper. They did fantastic at helping one another out with clues that were a little more challenging.
Social Studies: K.2.1 Give examples of people who are community helpers (inside the classroom and outside the classroom) and describe how they help us.
The six K/PREK1 children are thriving during their daily journal experience. They’ve been working on their letter recognition as well as letter sounds, depending on readiness, and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to have this time to journal each day.
The welcome activity involved wooden circles and felt bunnies. Some children chose to sort the materials while others placed them on top of one another, creating a one to one correspondence learning experience.
When we went outside, friends took turns exploring a new game that Miss Tami brought in! Anywhere from two to four kids played at a time. They each held a frisbee and had to catch a koosh ball with the frisbee that a friend threw to them. It required quite a lot of concentration!
Breakfast– Toasted oatmeal squares with fresh strawberries.
Lunch– Brown rice with shredded pork, fresh strawberries/pears, and fresh cucumber/pepper.
PM snack– Whole wheat crackers with peanut butter.
Wee Sprout– Fresh cucumber/pepper.
Have a great evening!
