Happy Friday!
This morning, a group of friends worked on building a variety of structures with our notch blocks. They first built a truck with windows in from and back. Next they built a house using a piece across the top as the beginning of a roof. We offered a piece of fabric to help with the roof project, which was happily received! Building three dimensionally is a wonderful developmental activity. It creates a situation where kids need to visualize a problem as well as the solutions in a three dimensional way. That process pushes kid’s critical thinking and creative problem solving skills. Working on projects like this in groups offers the opportunity to develop communication, group problem solving and cooperation to produce a shared result.

Breakfast: Brown rice cakes with cream cheese and fresh pineapple
Lunch: Humus sandwiches on whole wheat bread with fresh banana/pineapple and fresh cucumber/carrots
PM Snack: goldfish crackers with mozzarella cheese
Wee Sprouts: Fresh bell peppers and carrots
