Happy Friday!
We ended our week drawing an animal that fit into one category for our PREK1 sign in. Children listened to the options for each category and decided which animal they wanted to draw an animal for. We had a dog, crocodile, bunny, and pterodactyl!

This morning we explored magnets as as a hands-on science activity. Kids made several observations as they manipulated the magnets. One thing they learned was that North and South poles of the magnet attract each other while the same poles repel one another. Kids had a great time testing this out as they used one magnet to push another across their tray. Some kids found they could use one magnet to make the other spin. Kids learn best when they can explore new information through a play experience.

Breakfast: Brown rice cakes with peanut butter and fresh cantaloupe.
Lunch: Peanut butter on whole wheat tortilla with fresh raspberries/blueberries/cantaloupe and fresh cucumbers/peppers.
PM Snack: Pretzels, mozzarella cheese and fresh pears.
Wee Sprouts: Fresh cucumbers/peppers.
