Good Afternoon!

Our older kids had a great trip to the farm!  We visited the barn, fed the goats and found chicken eggs.  Next, we went on a long hike looking for bugs.  We caught a “daddy long legs” in our net.  We also found a spider and got to observe it repairing its web.  We also made dandelion wishes and became friends with a farm dog who accompanied us on our hike.  Our car conversation on the way home turned out to be educational as well.  We got to talk about the difference between continents and countries.  We talked about different types of volcanos and where they are.  We even talked about vowels and identified all the vowels in each of our names.  As a teacher I could ask for a better car conversation!

Back at Wee Friends, we focused on individual art projects using materials that they’ve been working with for the last few days.

Every summer, we go through a transition period in our classroom where a few older children leave for kindergarten and children from Wee Wee come over to the preschool classroom! We had a friend join us for a little while this morning as it was her first transition visit. She had several friends here who were anxious to show her around.

When we went outside, we gave our flowers a good soaking as it was really sunny! So many friends are willing and anxious to help water using the watering cans.
