Good Afternoon!
This morning, kids explored a hands-on trial and error color mixing activity. They shared a variety of colors, using eye droppers to mix them in different ways. Kids learn best through open ended hands-on activities that allow curiosity to drive exploration. Brain development during these types of activities includes sustained focused attention, executive planning and creative problem solving. Group environments like this encourage language/communication devolvement as kids ask questions and share what they have learned with one another.
Outside, Wee Friends helped out in the garden doing some weeding, watering and munching on fresh green beans. Several kids enjoyed counting how many green beans they ate. One friend counted 12! What a healthy snack!
Breakfast: Overnight oatmeal with cinnamon and fresh nectarines.
Lunch: Farm fresh scrambled egg cups with mozzarella cheese, fresh cantaloupe/oranges and fresh cucumbers/peppers.
PM Snack: Hummus with tortilla chips.
Wee Sprouts: Cucumbers/peppers/fresh garden green beans.
Have a lovely afternoon!
