Happy Monday!
The circle table was buzzing with several rounds of Zingo! Zingo, a interactive matching game similar to Bingo, is one of our favorite board games as it’s developmentally appropriate for our kiddos who are three and up. Clark called out the tiles one by one and kiddos looked at their board to see if they had the image. As friends filled up their board, they practiced their one to one correspondence skills counting the tiles that they had accumulated so far!
Board games allow children to work on several social and emotional skills such as turn taking, good sportsmanship, and following rules. They also allow children to authentically work on counting and numbers, focus and memory, and problem solving.
Throughout the morning, children visited the art table where a variety of projects were started. A few children worked on using hole and shape punches while two of our older friends held a special ‘art class’ where they each took turns being a teacher. The teacher would draw a picture and the student would copy it. They had a blast while drawing each others pictures!

Lunch– Whole wheat pasta with shredded turkey, fresh watermelon/cantaloupe, and fresh pepper/cucumber.
PM snack– Whole milk yogurt with graham crackers.
Wee Sprout– Fresh cucumber/pepper.
