Good Afternoon!
There has been a lot of interest in puzzles at Wee Friends this week! Puzzles are excellent for brain development. This activity strengthens spacial awareness, visual memory and problem solving abilities. At the same time, kids build fine motor skills, shape recognition and-eye coordination. Puzzles teach kids focused attention and tolerance for frustration as they work through challenges. They can also build social emotional skills when working as a team on large floor puzzles. What a fruitful activity!
Outside, kids worked together to build a river in the sand box. They had to problem solve with one another, negotiate, make compromise, and figure out how to cooperate in order to achieve their goals. It was great social emotional practice.
We hope you enjoy a few more pictures from our day!
