Good Afternoon!
**Tomorrow will be pajama day!
***We will be closed on Monday for Labor Day.
Our two kindergarteners focused on their one to one correspondence as they created bead flowers! They each had ten flowers with the numbers one to ten written on each flower. Student A kept saying, “This one has an eight and I have seven beads so I need one more!”. He was authentically adding while doing this activity!
K.NS.4: Perform one-to-one correspondence tasks.
Our two older kindergarteners signed in this morning. They were each given a bead bracelet and were asked to count the beads on the bracelet. Once they were done counting, they found their number on the board and wrote their name.
This morning kids were feeling a little antsy with all the hot weather related indoor time. We created an obstacle course for kids to use some of that energy to practice a variety of gross motor skills. Kids practiced their balance with stepping stones, balance beams and a tape line. Their favorite part of the course was the trampoline! An obstacle course is a great activity for kids as it combines body-movement, sensory, cognitive and social emotional learning in a single engaging activity.
We hope you enjoy a few more pictures from our day!
