Happy Friday!
Our PREK1 friends came to the sign in board where we talked about clocks! They searched the classroom for a clock and wrote their name under what a clock tells us.
Our kindergarten sign in focused on the story ‘Caps For Sale’. Student A drew the order in which events occurred in the story. He was able to recall specific events and the order in which they happened. We read the book for group time too.
K.RL.2.2: With support, retell familiar stories, poems, and nursery rhymes, including key details.
K.M.2: Understand concepts of time, including: morning, afternoon, evening, today, yesterday, tomorrow, day, week, month, and year. Understand that clocks and calendars are tools that measure time.
This morning several kids worked on some mixed media paintings. As they worked, one friend became most interested in taking paint and mixing it into the paint water to see what colors she could make. In response, we set up an activity for her to do this. Other kids wanted to try this too. We always love to observe how kids are using materials to see if there is an interest emerging that could be explored.
We hope you enjoy some more pictures from our day!
